HBNI EXPANSION PROJECT – Bhoomi poojan ceremony
Since 2005 HBNI is making rapid progress in all spheres of higher education under its able and inspiring leadership, and with the continuous support and contribution from its Constituent Institutions and Off Campus Centre. In 2024, HBNI is taking another step on the path of infrastructure augmentation.
To meet its space requirements for the continuously growing academic activities of HBNI, DAE has approved the construction of two additional wings in the existing Training School Complex at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai.
Before commencing the Foundation work, “Bhoomi Poojan Ceremony” for the proposed building was successfully conducted on 3rd January 2024 (Wednesday) at 1015 hrs at Training School Complex, Anushaktinagar. The occasion was graced by Dr A K Mohanty, Chairman AEC & Secretary DAE, Prof U Kamachi Mudali, Vice Chancellor HBNI, Shri Vivek Bhasin, Director BARC, Shri K Mahapatra, Director DCSEM, Prof R B Grover, Emeritus Professor HBNI, Prof P D Naik, Dean HBNI, Prof PC Selvin, Registrar HBNI, Shri K Jayakumar, Controller BARC, Shri Shivaprakasha, Chief Engineer DCSEM and many senior officers from BARC, HBNI and DCSEM. On this occasion, Prof Naveen Kumar, Associate Dean & Project Co-ordinator HBNI and Shri M Nagarajan, DCSEM briefed the guests about the scope of the project and the layout. The function was well attended by colleagues and staff from HBNI, DCSEM and BARC.
